Terms of Service
Last updated August 18, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Pointer website, application, paid subscriptions, credits, and any related services (collectively, the "Services").
Throughout these Terms, "Pointer", "we", "us", or "our" refers to Suleiman Najim and Sami Najim, who operate the Services. By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. About the Services
Pointer is an AI product that helps you create presentations, decks, and reports by chatting with an AI assistant. You describe what you need, optionally bring in your own data by uploading files or connecting sources such as Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and SharePoint, and Pointer builds the slides for you. Paid plans include a monthly credit allowance, and Routines can rebuild reports automatically on a schedule.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any plan details shown at checkout, form a legally binding agreement between you and Pointer.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Your content and generated output
You retain ownership of the files, data, and instructions you provide ("Your Content"). You grant Pointer a limited licence to process Your Content solely to operate the Services and generate output for you.
Subject to these Terms and your compliance with them, you own the decks, reports, and other output that Pointer generates for you ("Output"), and you may use it for your personal or business purposes. You are responsible for Your Content and for reviewing Output before you rely on or share it.
4. Our intellectual property
The Pointer application, including its software, design, branding, and layouts, is owned by Pointer or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Services. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or build a competing service from the Pointer application itself.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Upload or generate content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, defamatory, or infringes the rights of others
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the security of the Services
- Scrape, automate, or reverse engineer any part of the Services
- Resell or provide paid access to the Services without authorization
- Use the Services to generate misleading or deceptive material presented as fact
6. Subscriptions, credits, and billing
New accounts begin with a 7-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial, and no charge is made during it. You receive a one-time grant of credits to try the Services. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the trial converts automatically into a Pointer Pro monthly subscription at $49 per month, charged to the payment method you provided. It converts to the monthly plan only, never to the annual one. You may cancel at any time before the trial ends, from your account, and you will not be charged. Accounts created before this trial was introduced are unaffected and continue to require no payment method.
Pointer Pro is also available by direct subscription, billed monthly or yearly and charged immediately. While active, Pro provides a credit allowance that is added to your account each billing period, on top of any credits you already have. Credits do not expire or reset, and there is no ceiling on the balance you can hold. Credits are consumed in proportion to the work performed.
Pro subscribers may also purchase one-time credit top-ups, priced and sized as shown on the Services at the time of purchase. Top-ups are non-recurring, are added to your balance the same way a subscription refill is, and are available only to active Pro subscribers.
Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record for subscription and one-time purchases. Paddle is responsible for collecting and remitting any applicable sales tax and VAT. We do not receive or store your full card details. By subscribing, you authorize Paddle to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis, at the interval you choose, until you cancel. Your purchase is also subject to the terms Paddle presents at checkout.
Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, refunds are handled under Paddle's Buyer Terms and Refund Policy, which apply to every purchase. You may request a refund within 14 days of a purchase, and Paddle reviews each request on its merits. Where local consumer protection law gives you a statutory right of withdrawal, that right always applies and overrides anything stated here. Refund requests are made to Paddle rather than to us. See our Refund Policy for how to do that.
Subscription pricing and billing frequency are disclosed at checkout. You may cancel at any time from your account, which stops future billing. Cancelling is separate from a refund: on its own it does not refund the period you are in, and it does not remove credits you already hold.
7. Pricing and taxes
Prices are shown in US dollars and may change, with notice for existing subscribers. Prices are exclusive of tax. Any applicable sales tax or VAT is calculated and added at checkout based on your location, and is collected and remitted by Paddle. You are responsible for providing accurate billing information.
8. AI output and no professional advice
Pointer uses AI to generate content. While Pointer aims to cite the sources behind figures and to check derived calculations, Output may still contain errors or omissions. Output is provided for your convenience and does not constitute legal, financial, investment, or other professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying Output before relying on or distributing it.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pointer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Services during the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Local consumer protection laws may still apply depending on your jurisdiction.
